  • “Usage Data” means the data collected automatically, about how you use or interact with our Websites or with respect to our services. It may be collected through cookies or other tracking tools (e.g. time spent on each section of the Websites, etc.).

  • “Data Controller” or “Controller” means the natural or legal person, public authority, service or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Handball.ai is the Controller of your Personal Data.
  • “Processor” means any natural or legal person who processes Personal Data on behalf of and for the account of the Controller. 
  • “Service(s)” means the functionalities or tools contracted to Handball.ai by you.

2. WHAT CRITERIA MUST YOU FULFILL TO PROVIDE US WITH YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

2.1. Minimum age. In order to provide us with your personal data, you must be at least 13 years old and/or, where applicable, have sufficient legal capacity to use the Websites or the Platform. In this regard, please note that our services are directed to adults and therefore you must be 18 years of age or older to use our Platform (see section 3.2 for more information).  

2.2. Truthfulness. When you provide us with your data to use our Services, you warrant that the data and information you provide is real, true, current and belongs to you and not to any third party. 

In addition, you must inform us of any changes to the data provided and you are in any case responsible for the truthfulness and accuracy of the data provided at all times. 

2.3. Age and veracity checks. Handball.ai reserves the right to verify your age and identifying information at any time if necessary, including by requiring you to provide official proof of age or an equivalent procedure, and in the event of fraud detection that proves or is suspected that you are under the age stated, to delete, temporarily disable and/or cancel your account.

Our platform called Handball.ai (the “Platform“) allows you to track, record, understand and analyse all handball statistics for a match, player, team and season.

In this section we explain how we process your personal data when you install the Platform.

Identifying and contact information. We collect your identifying information (name and surname) and e-mail address, as well as any other information that you voluntarily include.

 

Professional Information: Company name (if applicable); Job title

 

Financial Information /transaction data: Billing address, Invoicing details. We utilize third-party service providers to handle payment transactions. As a result, we do not have direct access to credit card information or sensitive financial data provided during payment processing.

 

Usage Data: IP address, Device information (e.g., device type, operating system); Browser information (e.g., browser type, browser version); Log data (e.g., access times, pages visited)

What are the purposes of the processing of your personal data?

Create and manage your account and enable you to use the Platform: We process your data to identify you as a user of the Platform and to give you access to the various features and services you have contracted for.

 

Execute and maintain the contractual relationship between the Parties: Maintain and execute the contractual relationship between the Parties, which includes (i) the provision of the Services, administrative, fiscal, legal, accounting and commercial management; (ii) the handling of queries and complaints via web or electronic means; (iii) the sending of notifications of changes to the Terms of Service or security alerts. This also includes diagnosing, troubleshooting and correcting problems with the Service. 

 

To evaluate and develop new features, content and improve the Service. We may do this by collecting Usage Data, which allows us to test users’ use of the Services to make improvements to the Service, content or functionality.

To prevent, detect and take action against activities that are unlawful or breach the Platform’s Terms of Service. We may process the information to monitor and prevent any form of misuse of our services, such as fraudulent activities, denial of service attacks, sending spam, unauthorised access to our users’ accounts, as well as any other practice that breaches the Terms of Service or jeopardises the security of information or the integrity of the Platform itself.

What are the legal grounds that allows us to process the data? Is the provision of this data obligatory?

Performance of the contract. The processing of your data for the purposes set out above, with the exception of the processing set out below, is necessary for the performance of the contract entered into between the parties when you register and contract Handball.ai’s services to access and use the Platform, in accordance with the Terms of Service. 

All data requested and processed for the above purposes are necessary to fulfil the stated purposes. If they are not provided, it will not be possible to execute the contract that binds us or to carry out the administrative tasks linked to it.

 

Legitimate interest: The following processing is carried out by us on the basis of our legitimate interest:

 

  1. evaluate and develop new features to enhance the functionality and user experience of our platform, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation;
  2. the prevention of illegal activities and other activities related to the security of the Platform to ensure the security of the network and information to prevent events that could compromise the availability, authenticity, integrity and confidentiality of personal data or the platform itself.

How long do we keep your information?

All personal data will be processed by us for the duration of the contractual relationship between the parties. We will process your data for as long as you are registered on our websites and our contractual relationship remains in force. Once this period has elapsed, and if you decide to unsubscribe as a registered user, we will keep your information for the periods required by law to meet any liabilities and to demonstrate compliance with our obligations, and then delete it.

 

With respect to Usage Data, Usage Data will be processed for as long as the account is active, unless the information is processed for a shorter period in accordance with our cookie policy, where applicable.

Consent / Legitimate interest: The processing of your contact information for sending commercial communications is based on consent if you subscribe to receive such communications. If there is an existing contractual relationship between you and Handball.ai, the processing will be based on its legitimate interest aimed at providing relevant information about products, services, and offers that may be of interest to its clients or other parties. How long do we keep your information?

All personal data will be processed by us during the time your are subscribed to received this kind of communications or for the duration of the contractual relationship between the parties. Handball.ai process the data of the players sourced from televised matches, videos uploaded by the customers or obtained from third parties and other public sources (like media), for the purpose of carrying out statistical analysis.

Video footage where images/voices of players, coaches, referees, and other personnel involved in matches or training sessions are captured.

What are the purposes of the processing of your personal data?

Handball.ai collects the data to:

  • Extract and summarize key actions that occurred during matches.
  • Aggregate player performance metrics such as goals scored, assists and other relevant statistics.
  • Create matches reports and statistics.
  • Create charts, graphs and other graphical representations of data for easier understanding and interpretation.

This aggregated information or statistics may be used to help teams refine training strategies or assess players development, and provide valuable insights to coaches, analysts, and management staff. Additionally, it may be utilized for scouting purposes, talent identification, and player recruitment efforts, as well as to provide the results of matches to the public, offering fans and stakeholders valuable insights into team performance, player statistics, and match outcomes.

What are the legal grounds that allows us to process the data? Is the provision of this data obligatory?

In cases where Handball.ai acts as a data processor, it shall process the data as instructed by the data controller. However, in situations where the data is transferred to thHandball.ai or Handball.ai collects the data from public or other sources, we may use as legal grounds for processing data are based on legitimate interest, particularly when utilizing information from public sources. However, when data is obtained from sources other than public ones, we may also rely on obtaining consent from the data subjects for processing their information.

How long do we keep the information?

The retention period may vary depending on the specific nature of the data and the purposes for which it is processed. Generally, we keep the information for as long as it is necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Upon expiration of the retention period, we securely dispose of the data in a manner that ensures its confidentiality and integrity.

  • WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In general, we do not disclose your personal data unless it is necessary to comply with legal obligations or requirements or in the following cases:

  1. Service providers (for example, computer hosting companies or platforms for sending commercial communications). These companies have signed the relevant confidentiality agreements and will only process your data in accordance with our instructions and will not use it for their own purposes or for purposes other than the service they provide to us.

We may disclose the data and any other information in our possession or accessible through our systems to the relevant public authorities if we are required to do so by law or if it is necessary, for example, to prevent or track the misuse of the services or fraudulent activity through our websites or web page. We also inform you that this Privacy Policy only applies to the collection, processing and use of information (relating to personal data) by us through your interaction with our Websites. Third party websites that you may access through links on the Websites have their own privacy policies over which we have no control. We therefore recommend that you read their privacy policies before providing them with any personal information.

  • ARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA TRANSFERRED TO THIRD COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE ECONOMIC AREA?

Some of our service providers are located in countries outside the European Economic Area (“EEA“).

The location of these companies outside the EEA implies the existence of an international transfer of your personal data, which may result in a lower level of protection than that provided by European legislation. However, Handball.ai has taken steps to ensure that such transfers do not result in a lower level of protection for your personal data.

Therefore, using these service providers will not result in a lower level of protection for your personal data than using service providers located in the European Union.

You may withdraw your consent in relation to all processing based on your consent at any time. However, withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent prior to its withdrawal.

  • Right of access

You have the right to know what data is being processed, if any, and, if so, to obtain a copy of it, as well as to obtain information relating to: 

  • the origin and recipients of the data; 
  • the purposes for which they are processed; 
  • whether there is an automated decision-making process, including profiling; 
  • the data retention period; and 
  • the rights provided for in the regulations.
  • Right of rectification

You have the right to obtain the rectification of your personal data or to complete them when they are incomplete.

  • Right of erasure

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data if they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected or, as the case may be, if we are no longer authorised to process them.

  • Right to data portability

You have the right to request data portability in the case of processing of your data that is based on your consent or the performance of a contract, provided that the processing has been carried out by automated means. In case of exercise of this right, you will receive your personal data in a structured format, commonly used and readable by any electronic device. However, you may also request, where possible, that your data be transferred directly to another company.

You have the right to limit the processing of your data in the following cases:

  1. When you have requested the rectification of your personal data during the period in which we verify the accuracy of your personal data.
  2. When you believe that we are not authorised to process your data. In this case, you can ask us to limit its use instead of requesting its deletion.
  3. When you consider that it is no longer necessary for us to continue processing your data and you want us to keep it for the purpose of exercising or defending claims.

The security of your personal information is a priority for us. Therefore, Handball.ai has implemented all the necessary security measures to ensure the effective use and processing of the personal data provided by the user, guaranteeing the privacy, confidentiality and integrity of the same, and uses the necessary technical means to prevent the alteration, loss, unauthorised access or processing of your data, in accordance with the state of the art at all times.

We therefore comply with the security standards recommended for their protection. However, due to the nature of the Internet and the possibility of malicious acts by third parties over which we have no control, it is impossible to guarantee its security. 

We are committed to acting promptly and diligently in the event of a breach of security and to notifying you as appropriate. 

  • CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Handball.ai may modify this Privacy Policy at any time, particularly in the event of changes in legislation, case law or interpretation by the competent authorities that affect the data processing carried out by Handball.ai through these Websites. Any new version of this Privacy Policy will take effect on the published effective date. 

 

If the revised version includes a material change that affects the processing of your data, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance by posting a notice on our Websites or Platform. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how we process and protect your personal information and your rights.
